And as expected, the whole evening was a thoroughly successful and enjoyable affair thanks to the wonderful hosting skills of the event organiser Vivien Long, who was ably assisted by her husband Peter, and fellow MONA supporter Nicola Easton.
We knew before the night that Vivien and Peter are very committed supporters of MONA but what we didn´t realise was that they both possess some impressive auctioneering skills too so needless to say to auction itself proved to be a lot of fun! Thank you so much.
It was also a great opportunity to catch up with some long standing friends of MONA and to meet some new faces who we´ll hopefully be seeing a lot more of in the future.
Of course there was a serious reason for the event in the first place, that being the rescue of chimpanzee Linda, and everyone involved can feel very proud to have helped in some way towards her wellbeing in a happy new chapter of her life.
Thank you to all those who attended and those who contributed with their generosity by way of donating items for the auction. We should give a special thanks to Annmarie Meredith for lending us her professional photography skills for the night. Thanks also to the staff of the Copthorne Hotel, who catered and were attentive to our needs throughout the evening.
