The introduction of a male chimpanzee to an established group can be difficult and even dangerous. Not to mention the presentation between males potentially “enemies”.

I could not have been better! Tom and Victor, after some difficulties and tensions in the beginning, managed to find some common ground which led to lots of excited squeaking and screaming, long sessions of hugging and kissing and touching. They spend all morning happily together inspecting each other and eating side by side. We are not sure who is more excited about this … Tom & Victor or the MONA Team!
