MONA Foundation together with the renowned illustrator Ignasi Blanch present the exhibition PrimART at Figueres.
PrimART is an interesting project between human illustrators and chimpanzee “illustrators”. From bases painted by MONA chimpanzees, students of the famous Catalan illustrator have captured the idea of the project: “the freedom and respect that everyone, no matter the species, aspire to enjoy.”
The exhibition was inaugurated on the occasion of our tenth anniversary and has since traveled to various cities in Catalonia. Now thanks to the association DesatArt and Carles Castellnou, you can enjoy it at the Hotel Cafe Paris, at the Rambla of Figueres, until the 10th of August.

Friday 12th of July is the official inauguration and will be attended by representatives of MONA and the famous illustrator Ignasi Blanch.
PrimART’s human illustrators are: Antònia Bonell, Jan Barceló, Anita Cafano, Manuela Gerosa, Debby Holtzman, Loli Iglesias, Carmen López, Almudena Suárez, Eva Sánchez, Anna Obon, Uxua, Maria Jesús Vall ,E Alejandra Zúñiga, Cristina Flórez, under Ignasi Blanch’s coordination, and chimp “illustrators” are Nico, Waty, Tico and Víctor.
