We received great news from our friends at the Sanctuary Stichting AAP in Holland. Linda could finally visit her new outside enclosure! At first she was quite nervous.
Possibly because she never had so much space or such freedom to move, run and climb or she simply couldn´t believe yet what was offered to her. She didn´t dare to step outside being very conscious of all the new sounds and the noise other chimpanzees produced around her but eventually her curiosity won and she started exploring the outside.
We are absolutely thrilled to see these images of her after having witnessed her terrible state in the past. We would have loved to have welcomed her here at MONA but are equally happy knowing that our friends at AAP will offer her a great life among other chimpanzees infected with the same illness.
